Carmel-based Mesh Systems, Exein Partner to Deliver IoT Security Solutions for US Manufacturers

News Release

Mesh Systems, a leading US-based provider of IoT product development and managed services, has entered a strategic partnership with Exein. By integrating Exein’s security technology with Mesh Systems’ full-lifecycle expertise, the collaboration enables manufacturers to embed protection into connected devices from development through end-of-life.

Under the partnership, Mesh Systems will incorporate Exein’s cybersecurity capabilities into customer engagements, helping manufacturers protect firmware, monitor device security posture, and translate regulatory requirements into compliance.

Stronger Security at the Edge

The US IoT security market is projected to reach $296 billion by 2033, as connected devices continue to expand across critical industries. At the same time, IoT devices represent the largest and fastest-growing attack surface, with supply-chain and firmware attacks increasing globally. North America alone accounts for 24% of worldwide attacks, making edge security a growing priority for US manufacturers, especially in the most targeted energy, healthcare, and automotive sectors.

Within this context, the Exein-Mesh partnership helps manufacturers move beyond perimeter-based approaches. Together, the two companies enable firmware integrity verification during development, continuous security assessment across the device lifecycle, and real-time runtime protection and threat reporting in the field — even when devices operate offline or in constrained environments.

Compliance Readiness for EU and US Regulations

For manufacturers operating across global markets, security has become a regulatory requirement and a competitiveness factor. The collaboration between Exein and Mesh Systems is designed to simplify compliance for North American companies by aligning security with the world’s most relevant frameworks.

Exein’s solution supports compliance with key EU cybersecurity regulations, including the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and Radio Equipment Directive (RED), as well as the US Cyber Trust Mark. This is particularly important as the EU CRA introduces mandatory incident reporting requirements starting in September 2026, increasing pressure on manufacturers to adopt security-by-design practices early.

“Connected devices are now the fastest-growing attack surface in the world. This partnership brings together Exein’s technology and Mesh Systems’ deep expertise to help manufacturers ship stronger, more resilient devices and build a consistent security baseline across both European and US markets,” said Chris Lanier, Managing Director, Americas for Exein.
